Poor Sidewalk on Jalan TB Simatupang Completely Repaired

The sidewalk repairs on Jalan TB Simatupang in Cilandak Barat Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-dstrict, South Jakarta, finally completed.

It is now complete and can be used

One of the residents, Sulamul (39), appreciated the repair, where the sidewalk looks good for pedestrians to use.

"This repair is very good and neat. Moreover, the conblocks have been replaced with new ones and look even sturdier," he expressed, Monday (2/17).

Cilandak Sub-district Bina Marga Executing Unit Head, Nelson explained the repair is a concrete step in improving the quality of urban infrastructure and supporting the creation of a more friendly Jakarta for all residents, especially pedestrians.

"Indeed, the sidewalk already exists, but many are damaged and uncomfortable to walk on," he explained.

He explained the sidewalk repair, one meter wide, was conducted over a length of 27 meters, involving six personnel from early February 2025.

"It is now complete and can be used. Moreover, a barrier fence has been built between the sidewalk and the road," he added.

So, residents were urged to maintain the sidewalks, especially by not occupying them for activities beyond its intended purpose.

"Please use the sidewalk according to its intended use," he stressed.
